Here is an excerpt from an interview:

What has kept you going all these years?

I come from a very health conscious background. My father was part of the Delhi Police Force and he would always take time out for his fitness. He would first exercise and then start his day. That influenced my thinking process that one should be healthy to lead a happy life. When I was a teenager I gained a lot of weight. I used to love sweets, Butter Chicken, Butter Paneer, all that. I was the youngest in the family so I was pampered a lot. My friends called me “Moti”. It was a term of endearment and everyone finds chubbiness cute. But as time passed, it restricted me from doing many things. I couldn’t wear the clothes of my choice and stuff like that. This affected my confidence level. So I decided to rectify this and started naturopathy. I was my first patient of sorts. First I treated myself and then I focused on clients. I gained a lot of weight after my second pregnancy and I didn’t want to repeat my teenage years. So I worked hard and lost it again.

What is your biggest strength?

My family, my parents, husband, and kids support me in every way. Inner motivation also is a huge strength. You know how it feels when you are working on yourself. I don’t want anyone to change themselves for anything. Even in my diets, I want my clients to consume their natural food. Whatever they take on a daily basis. Only then the hormonal problems won’t occur.

What was the turning point in your career?

When the pandemic happened, I had to stop consulting in schools and I couldn’t go to my clinics. I shifted base online and it opened up a whole new avenue for me. Many people were in need of my services and I became more present on social media.

Any suggestions you would like to give to our readers?

Any pain that is felt by you i.e. non-muscular pain, is because of excessive sugar. Reduce your sugar intake and eat healthier. You will lead a happy and healthy life. Starving is not the right way to reduce weight. Eat right and eat in small amounts. Don’t pamper your children with excessive fatty foods. It would lead to complications later in life.
